Diet for a New America, by John Robbins - Explicitly vegan, Robbins passionately conveys the horrors of the meat industry and explains many of the health benefits to a vegan diet. It also includes information on the environmental impact of the meat industry.
Don’t Eat This Book by Morgan Spurlock - A follow-up to his movie, “Super Size Me”, this book provides a deeper analysis of American eating habits. Spurlock’s main point is that our health is comprised of all of the little habits that encompass our lifestyle, especially: eating, grocery shopping, and exercise. He provides us with the necessary information to make informed and mindful decisions about how we want to treat our bodies, and his witty sense of humor adds a touch of lightness and keeps it entertaining.
